Ex-Durbanite Mellissa (Mystic Sisters) rallying for food parcels across eThekwini

Food parcels organised in 2021

Many of you from Durban will remember Mystic Sisters on East Coast Radio. One of those sisters, Mellissa, is now based in the UK - I was fortunate to meet her by chance when we shared a taxi many years ago in north London (and she even read my palm in the car!) Following the July riots, Mellissa and her team on the ground in Durban facilitated fundraising and organised food parcels. I can vouch for her efforts as a friend of mine from Molweni township was recipient of some parcels for her staff members. Mellissa also runs Saffa Sisterhood - a ladies network here in the UK.
